Instead of teaching our young people about their government, today's social studies mixes sociology and psychology with liberal activism, guilt, groupthink and a desire to become citizens of the world. WND article

Islam was born in the deserts of Arabia in the early seventh century. Islam is a revolutionary, totalizing political ideology masquerading as a religion. - Ellis Washington, 2010

Mr. President…Not Bad…But Let’s Hope It’s Not Too Little, Too Late…
Middle East piece by Gerald A. Honigman (9/22/11)

Mr. President, I heard you speech at the United Nations today and listened very carefully to your remarks about Israel and the “Palestinians"--Arabs, by another name (most of whom came from elsewhere), already possessing almost two dozen states who only renamed themselves the latter as an afterthought decades later in order to deny Jews their one, solestate. Read ‘Anticipating September… The Real Injustice Regarding Palestine’(1) to see what I mean.

The Heart of political Disagreement
Government piece by Robert E. Meyer (9/22/11)

Nearly all disputes about political economic issues, boil down to differences in philosophies regarding the nature of the legitimate role of government. When I’m discussing an economic issue with someone and there is disagreement, my first question to them is always about what the role of government should be. My second question is about how they justify their answer to the first question. What is the basis for their beliefs about the jurisdiction of government? It is interesting that when Noah Webster published his first dictionary in 1828, the word “government” denoted internal self-control, whereas today when we speak of government, it invokes the image of the federal institution that takes care of us, or at least ought to do so.

Stimulus II, The Buffett Rule, Class Warfare and Math
Progressivism piece by Doug Edelman (9/21/11)

A leftist caller into a morning talk-show that is part of my daily drive was spouting the “no skin off their back” class envy line about the “Buffett Rule” and soaking the rich.  Aside from simply annoying me with his ignorance, I found myself realizing that these people who buy into the Class Envy story line will not be swayed by any of the arguments of the unfairness of the excessive tax burden borne by the top income earners.  They pull out their “world’s smallest violin” and play “Cry Me a River”.  Their attitude is, “They can afford it.” Or, “They’ve still got plenty, AFTER taxes.”

Shaking Assumptions Regarding Natural Disasters
Society piece by Frederick Meekins (9/20/11)

Though the event displays the wonder of God and His creation, no minister can hand down an edict one way or the other whether a particular earthquake other than the ones foretold in prophetic passages of Scripture such as the Book of Revelation was an act of retribution and judgment.

A college degree? Not for my kid
  Edukshun piece by OffSite (9/18/11)

I am about to commit heresy, to question one of the holy grails of life. - Our older daughter will soon turn 16, and like many teens her age she is thinking about her future career options. She loves to travel, but there’s not a big job market for professional travelers. But she also loves to work with children, so that is her field of focus. We’ve been bandying about the usual options for a college major: child development, child psychology, etc.

Solyndra Obama’s Enron
ObamaNation piece by Robert R. Owens (9/17/11)

Remember Enron?  When this huge company went belly up because of mismanagement, misrepresentation and criminal intent the Bush administration was put through years(1) of screaming headlines, congressional investigations and dubious investigative specials on the wall-to-wall talking heads of the cable news channels.  In the end there was no connection(2) found between the Bush administration and the leaders at Enron who broke the law.

No “Common Ground” With The Left
Progressivism piece by Christopher G. Adamo (9/14/11)

Among the most desperate and futile efforts by an extreme leftist to don a mantle of credibility is New York Times columnist Paul Krugman’s characterization of his venomous writings as “The Conscience of a Liberal.” Under this colorless title he has not only authored a book, but also regularly presents Internet postings.

College: A dangerous place for men
  Femi-Nazis piece by OffSite (9/13/11)

College is a dangerous place for men. They are not only a minority, but they are victimized by discriminatory and unconstitutional anti-male rules.

‘AFL-CIO Prez: Hey, Remember 9/11, Was a Great Union Moment, Right?’
Unions piece by Warner Todd Huston (9/11/11)

In one of the most disgusting examples of the self-absorption of the union mind set(1), AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka decided that his 9/11 memorial would not be much about 9/11, but would instead be just another excuse to say how great unions are and how evil conservatives are. This isn’t just gauche, but insulting, infuriating, and just plain ignorant. Not only that, but it is most certainly disrespectful of the fallen and just plain un-American.

9/11 Prophecies, Gibson Guitars and Pabulum for the Naïve
Progressivism piece by Michael Bresciani (9/10/11)

Getting between three to five hundred emails a day is not my idea of great fun but I never ignore any of them and it is always surprising what is on the minds of my readers. Hatred and vitriol comes in regularly, after that are the serious and many strong supporters whose concern for the path our nation is taking is growing exponentially.

AP Editorializing in the ‘News’ Again
Progressivism piece by Warner Todd Huston (9/8/11)

In a recent article on the dissatisfaction of Big Labor we once again we see making its way into what is otherwise supposed to be a normal, everyday “news” story, the Associated Press indulging its penchant for using biased labels and left-wing “definitions” in order to push a left-wing agenda on its readers. Even while presenting straight “news” the AP can’t resist swinging all terms and discussions to the liberal side of the fence, a tactic that it employs to push every story to the left.

Dignity and Obscenity Don’t Mix even in America
Culture Wars piece by Michael Bresciani (9/7/11)

Basically every school kid knows that oil and water do not mix. Should anyone have missed that rudimentary lesson in chemistry, they have only to recall the recent events that took place in the Gulf of Mexico, and a leaking BP oil rig that the best scientific and engineering minds of our time could not stop, for months. If you are a bit older, then you also can recall the great Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska.

Sorry, Your ‘Race Card’ is Expired, Over-Limit, and Declined!
Progressivism piece by Doug Edelman (9/3/11)

This week I heard yet another black liberal caller to a conservative radio program who felt “offended” that there was so much opposition to “America’s First Black President.” As I listened, (frustrated that I couldn’t just call and debate this guy since I was in the parking lot about to walk into my day-job) I began to think just how racist the caller’s line of thinking was!  He was defending the President based SOLEY on his race.  Irrespective of the President’s policies, plan, purpose or performance – he was deemed unassailable because he is black.  But is he?

Families of 9/11 Victims Knocking on America’s Door
Political Correctness piece by Michael Bresciani (9/2/11)

It is no secret that New York’s Mayor Bloomberg has decided not to ask clergy(1) of any religion to be part in the tenth anniversary ceremonies at Ground Zero. A cross section of responses from both religious and secular sources shows that most people are shocked or at the least scratching their heads in wonderment at Bloomberg’s decision.

Obama Abusing The Bully Pulpit
  ObamaNation piece by J. D. Longstreet (9/1/11)

Obama’s speech to a joint session of Congress concerning jobs is nothing more that a campaign speech.  This is more of Obama abusing the powers of the Office of the President and conservatives in the Congress should boycott it.  It is just high political theatre and frankly it is another tasteless move by the White House.

Early Obama Letter Confirms Inability to Write
  Edukshun piece by OffSite (8/29/11)

On November 16, 1990, Barack Obama, then president of the Harvard Law Review, published a letter in the Harvard Law Record, an independent Harvard Law School newspaper, championing affirmative action.

Shh, Don’t Tell Anyone.  Obama Is Increasing The Cost Of Going To School
  Government piece by J. J. Jackson (8/28/11)

I have a secret to tell you.  But you cannot tell it to anyone if I tell it to you.  Do you understand?  Because I am super serious about how secret this secret is.

Freedom is as Freedom Does
Progressivism piece by Robert R. Owens (8/27/11)

Is there any one political or economic system that God wants everyone to follow?  I do not believe God has ordained any one type of government or economy as the divinely ordained path.

‘Will the 2012 Political Campaign be the Most Violent in This Countries History??’
Election 2012 piece by Donald W. Tucker (8/25/11)

America is entering into a political season that will probably have the candidates slugging it out for this Office, with no holds barred. The 2012 election will be like no previous political encounter because of the current climate of vitiosity, hate and anger exhibited by the different political factions and their followers.

‘Did Liberals Back The Wrong Messiah?’
Elections piece by Aaron Goldstein (8/24/11)

When Barack Obama was elected President of the United States on November 4, 2008, liberals reached the height of euphoria with dancing in the streets. (1) The Anointed One was going to move into the White House to excise the demons cast by the big, bad George W. Bush and bring about a New America. For liberals, it was as if The Messiah had finally arrived.

Union Astroturf Pretends Like Tea Partiers to Attack GOP
Unions piece by Warner Todd Huston (8/21/11)

The Hill has an interesting, if not a bit slanted, report(1) about the faux grassroots efforts of unions and left-wing advocates to pretend they are somehow ‘just like’ the Tea Party by attacking the town hall meetings of various GOP congressman across the country this Summer.

Prophecy: The Rock that Cannot Be Moved
Religion piece by Michael Bresciani (8/20/11)

After a lifetime studying and proclaiming Biblical prophecy it is now apparent that, in this turbulent and unstable world, prophecy is along with the Savior who it points to, the only immovable rock known to man, past, present or future.

There’s No Tea in England
TEA Parties piece by Aaron Goldstein (8/16/11)

“This is the uprising of the working class. We’re redistributing the wealth. In America you have the tea party, in England you’ve got this.” - Bryn Phillips, U.K. rioter and self-described “anarchist”(1) - Believe it or not, Mr. Phillips might very well be onto something here. In America, Tea Party activists gather across the country to peacefully dissent against irresponsible fiscal policy by Democrats and Republicans alike. In England, we have seen gangs of young Nihilists wantonly assaulting and killing people, setting buildings ablaze and redistributing wealth by pillaging goods with the notable exception of books.(2) This is what they’ve got in England indeed.

The UN Agenda 21 Marches on in America with the USDA-EPA National Partnership
  Agenda21/Sustainability piece by OffSite (8/14/11)

The Declaration of Independence states that “...all Men...are endowed by their Creator with Certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.”

President Downgrade
ObamaNation piece by Selwyn Duke (8/12/11)

When Barack Obama promised change that would transform America, most never suspected that he would make history by presiding over the nation’s first-ever credit downgrade.  But, well, yes - he can.

A Litany Of Obama Administration Failures
ObamaNation piece by Christopher G. Adamo (8/11/11)

By now everybody who regularly receives e-mail “forwards” has seen the one showing Barack Obama ostensibly standing in front of a devastated landscape that clearly is meant to represent the United States under his stewardship. The caption reads, “My work here is done.” Accusations of partisanship and racism aside, the message conveyed is so profound because it succinctly reflects the determined efforts of the Obama White House to radically change America over the past two and a half years.

‘Want Proof of How Democrats Would Shut You Up, Tea Partiers?’
Information Police piece by Warner Todd Huston (8/7/11)

On MSNBC, John Kerry told us that Tea Party ideas are not “real” ideas, not “factual,” and thinks that the media should stop reporting on anything that smacks of ideas or news coming from Tea Partiers. If this isn’t proof of how Democrats and leftists would use the power of government to quash free political speech, what is?

Scarier than a “Death Panel”? Being 65 or Older
ObamaCare piece by Kevin Roeten (8/6/11)

Of course, the words ‘Death Panel’ weren’t in Obama’s 2000-word health care plan. The words socialism, aborting, taxing, and redistribution of earned money weren’t in there either. But most Americans know they’re in there.

Obama Has Done his Job Well:  USA All But Destroyed
ObamaNation piece by Sher Zieve (8/6/11)

By now, I assume everyone who isn’t comatose has heard about the Standard and Poors downgrading of the USA’s economic stability from AAA to AA+.  Despite the White House feverishly working to spin the news for we-the-proletariat--and hinting that ‘it really means nothing’--I suspect there is much celebrating going on behind the scenes.  Since ratings were established, this is the first time in History that the United States of America has been downgraded.  This is unprecedented in our history.  Therefore, Obama is partying hardier than ever.  After his Chicago $35,000 per plate birthday bash extravaganza--largely on the US taxpayer--his latest fundraiser planned for next Thursday in New York is designed to bring in $71,600 per plate.  And all of this is transpiring while he is on a bus tour--we believe illegally on the US taxpayer--campaign for 2012.  Note:  As our leftist courts and supplicant US Congress support his every move, no one does anything about Obama’s increasingly criminal behaviors.

World Markets Teetering - No Confidence in Obamanomics
Progressivism piece by Michael Bresciani (8/6/11)

The only place where the glazed eyes of the most excited followers still reflect a, “If I could but touch the hem of his garment” look; seems to be at the President’s recent birthday bash. The rest of the world, it seems, does not want to look on the face of President Obama, much less his fiscal policies. The no confidence vote is reflected in huge stock sell outs both here and abroad.
