ACORN Are Us! At least at the street level…
by Malcolm T. Hedges (9/16/09)
The recent “exposures” of ACORN employees is very telling but on a different level than as it is being generally treated.
To be sure the “ACORN Operation” is suspect in its overall agenda and objectives, but the subtle message is being overlooked.
The individuals caught in the “stings” are more or less clueless that they were actually doing anything wrong. They are products of our edukshun and Progressive social environment.
A large portion of our population has no clue or concept of “legal” or “proper”, the MSM and politicians have demonstrated and encouraged denial of the letter of the law and appropriate proper social behavior.
To be honest, obeying the letter of the law and appropriate proper social behavior is continually demeaned by Progressives.
This has been going on since the 1960’s so the concepts are well instilled in a hell of a lot of people.
You can see it daily with people that think rules and speed limits on highways and streets apply to everyone but them.
Unfortunately that behavior and mindset far exceeds the road, the same mentality infects their daily behaviors and lives.
The ACORN management appears to have no serious issues with that mentality and so we see the revelations of their activities.
To be fair, avoiding such activities by employees is a constant challenge of all businesses. Such businesses that don’t care deserve the rewards of their work.
Stupid laws often encourage denial and refusal to comply. Validity of such actions is always subject to argument and examination.
Glenn Beck and other valid ACORN examiners need to address both issues.
