Obama and Domestic Terrorist: Ad Campaign Examines the Relationship
Elections piece by Jim Kouri (8/30/08)
While GOP Presidential hopeful John McCain introduced his new running-mate, Gov. Sarah Palin, American Issues Project wrapped up its first phase of a television advertising and issue campaign, which called into question the long-standing relationship between Barack Obama and unrepentant 1960’s domestic terrorist, William Ayers.

Obama Campaign Tries to Shut Down Chicago Radio Show
Elections piece by Warner Todd Huston (8/29/08)
Members of Barack Obama’s campaign HQ in Chicago tried to shut down a local radio show on the City’s most powerful radio signal, WGN 720, because they didn’t like a conservative guest that was on going on the air to discuss Senator Barack Obama’s ties to local terrorist William Ayers. This is a shocking attempt at stifling political free speech and a bald attempt to quash debate by the office of the Democratic Party’s nominee. The funny thing is, WGN is the most liberal station in the City with every host but one slavishly supporting the junior Senator from Illinois.
‘Has Mugabe Triumphed Again?’
Politics piece by Aaron Goldstein (8/29/08)
For a brief period in 2008 it appeared that Robert Mugabe’s nearly three decade stranglehold on power in the impoverished nation of Zimbabwe would finally come to an end.
‘Democrat Congressman Urges Immigrants to Illegally Vote?’
Elections piece by Jim Kouri (8/29/08)
In the midst of the Democrat National Convention in Denver, Colorado, Democrat Congressman Luis Gutierrez urged immigrants to join him in supporting Barack Obama in the upcoming presidential election.
Some Speeches are Better Than Others
Elections piece by Alan Caruba (8/29/08)
Some speeches are better than others. Sen. Barack Obama knows how to deliver a speech, but his acceptance speech was familiar stuff to anyone who has been listening to politicians as long as I have. Permit me a bit of cynicism because sometimes it allows you to separate the wheat from the chaff.

The Nugacity of Obama
Elections piece by Aaron Goldstein (8/28/08)
Barack Obama will undoubtedly wax eloquent when he accepts the Democratic Party nomination in front of 75,000 adoring acolytes at Denver’s Mile High Stadium on August 28th. Obama will talk about hope, change, this being our moment and how yes we can. His oratory might even stir the waters of the Colorado River to rise a foot or two. Alright, perhaps the Colorado River won’t rise to historic levels but Obama’s audacity certainly will. His nugacity will be sure to follow. Barack Obama is well spoken but has very little to say and what little he does have to say is mostly trifling.

Biden’s Ties to Pro-Iran Groups Questioned
Politics piece by OffSite (8/27/08)
Sen. Barack Obama and his newly-picked running mate, Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware, may have sparred during the primaries. But on one issue they are firmly united: the need to forge closer ties to the government of Iran.
‘Michelle’s speech inspired by radical socialist?’
Elections piece by OffSite (8/27/08)
Michelle Obama has delivered some rousing statements at the Democratic National Convention, where delegates are expected later this week to nominate her husband, Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, to be president.
‘Is the Presidency above Obama’s Pay Grade?’
Elections piece by Selwyn Duke (8/27/08)
It’s interesting to hear the euphemisms bandied about in campaigns. After Barack Obama’s and John McCain’s appearance a week ago at Saddleback Church, for instance, the former’s ardent supporters were as effusive in their praise as ever. His stammering and copious “uhs” weren’t signs of a befuddled and muddled mind, but of “thoughtfulness” and “nuanced” thinking.
No Nation Left Behind: An Interview with Charles Murray
Edukshun piece by Bernard Chapin (8/27/08)
My father always said that anyone who lived through John F. Kennedy’s assassination remembers what they were doing at the precise moment the president was shot. This may well be true, but we also lucidly recall the circumstances of far lesser events such as the controversy surrounding the publication of The Bell Curve: Intelligence and Class Structure in American Life by Richard J. Herrnstein and Charles Murray. The furor its conclusions caused is forever ingrained in my memory.

Leader of Terrorist-Linked Group Speaks at Democrat Convention
Demercrats piece by Sher Zieve (8/26/08)
Once again showing that the Democrats’ ‘large umbrella’ appears to include terrorists and terrorist-linked groups, the president of The Islamic Society of North America - Ingrid Mattson - spoke Sunday at the Democrat National Convention in Denver. This is the same Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) that has admitted to ties with terrorist Hamas, has been named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation’s terrorist-funding case and also has admitted ties to the militant terrorist group Muslim Brotherhood. I have written in the past that leftist Democrats consider terrorism to be ‘just another ideology’. This latest Democrat Party action pretty much proves my point. Question: Is this what the Democrat presidential candidate Barack Obama means when he says he will “change America?”
Barack Obama’s “CHANGE”
Elections piece by Rob Hood (8/26/08)
Barack Obama is the most talked about, most media worshipped political celebrity of all time. He has received praise from Keith Olberman, German crowds , and a host of media outlets like ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN. He has been called many names both good and bad. Names like “the messiah” has often been associated with Obama by conservatives because he is worshipped by some on the left as if he were God and apparently performed miracles during speeches - remember those who fainted and were raised by a bottle of Obama’s water. Names like the anti-Christ has also been given to him by some conservatives because of his obvious ability to speak well and be able to draw crowds with an almost uncanny charisma.

The Vast Left Wing Conspiracy
Progressivism piece by Alan Caruba (8/25/08)
As a dues-paying member of Hillary Clinton’s Vast Right Wing Conspiracy, it came as a revelation of sorts to learn about the parallel universe in which a Vast Left Wing Conspiracy exists. Within it, liberals do endless battle with one another for control of the Democrat Party.
Dead Wrong
Elections piece by Thomas Brewton (8/25/08)
Relying on Senator Biden’s foreign policy judgment is risky. Both he and Senator Obama backed the wrong horses in Iraq.
Cold War Redux
Europe piece by Geoff Metcalf (8/25/08)
“Where do consequences lead? Depends on the escort.” --Stanislaw Lem So, Russian forces began to pullout from “parts of Georgia”. However, a top general said hundreds of soldiers would remain deep inside the country along the main strategic highway. Hmmmmmmm?
Mr. Ruff And The Frankfort Jihad
Islam piece by David Tatosian (8/25/08)
At his press conference held on Wednesday August 20th, Frankfort Township assessor Paul J Ruff rightly referred to anonymous phone calls and strangers parked by his house in the days leading up to the conference as intimidation.

Phelps’ Cult Veers Into Further Irrationality
Religion piece by Frederick Meekins (8/24/08)
To those of us whose vocations consist largely of commenting on the momentous trends and events going on all around us, it can be easy to fall for the delusion that ultimately the world itself orbits those of us observing it.
Democrat sues Sen. Obama over ‘fraudulent candidacy’
Elections piece by OffSite (8/24/08)
A prominent Pennsylvania Democrat has sued Sen. Barack Obama, the Democratic National Committee and the Federal Election Commission, claiming that Obama is not a natural-born citizen and, therefore, is not eligible to be president of the United States.

Hands up! Back slowly away from the vitamins!
Big Brother piece by OffSite (8/23/08)
The Goliath-sized Federal Trade Commission and U.S. Food and Drug Administration have launched an attack on a small radio program and its accompanying website for recommending natural remedies to health problems, but in this case, David is fighting back.

Ruff And Ready
Islam piece by David Tatosian (8/22/08)
”I believe in the Constitution, I believe in the bill of Rights, and I believe it protects our freedom and our right to believe in a religion that you choose. I do not want them replaced with a system that institutionalizes discrimination against women and non-Muslims, something I think all Americans should be concerned about…Question: Is America ready to engage in a process of having a state (Sharia) within the state? I don’t believe so.” (Parenthesis mine) Frankfort Township Assessor Paul J Ruff’s press conference responding to an alleged anti-Muslim email Mr. Ruff forwarded to friends this past June.
Batman Duked By Robbin’ Jokers
Femi-Nazis piece by David R. Usher (8/22/08)
When the story broke about Christian Bale’s criminal arrest for cryptic reasons on domestic assault charges, it appeared that Bale was being hammered for fame and money, just like the infamous false Duke Lacrosse Case.

‘Can Senator Obama Talk Us Out of This One?’
Elections piece by Thomas Brewton (8/19/08)
Talk, they say, is cheap. And generally worth no more than it costs, when confronting international military aggression.
The Iran Scenarios
Middle East piece by Alan Caruba (8/19/08)
These days you can read as many different scenarios regarding the likelihood that Israel will attack Iran’s nuclear facilities as there are experts putting them forth. History, past and present, may have already written the script.

Civility at Saddleback
Elections piece by David Huntwork (8/18/08)
I watched a good portion the Saddleback Civil Forum on Saturday evening. It was a decent showing for both candidates but McCain probably did the best in what was viewed by many conservatives as a possible ambush by a pro-Obama evangelical pastor at a forum conceived by a variety of ideologically questionable characters. Instead, McCain really fumbled only once and came across as a decisive, determined, focused, relaxed, and informed man of integrity.
Obama’s Communist Cover-up Continues
Demercrats piece by Cliff Kincaid (8/18/08)
In a surprising admission that could become a major scandal in the presidential race, Barack Obama’s 40-page so-called “rebuttal” to Jerome Corsi’s book, The Obama Nation, acknowledges for the first time that the senator once had a personal relationship with identified Communist Party USA (CPUSA) member Frank Marshall Davis, a key high-level operative in a Soviet-sponsored network in Hawaii.

Russian Attack on Georgia: The Tip of the Iceberg
NewWorldOrder piece by Jim Kouri (8/17/08)
Russia’s invasion of the sovereign nation of Georgia has pushed major news stories off the front-pages of newspapers and news magazines, and usually is the lead story on broadcast news shows. The images of Russian tanks pouring into Georgia is a reminder that Putin’s Russia is not to be ignored by US officials.
What’s So Great About Dinesh D’Souza? An Interview.
Politics piece by Bernard Chapin (8/17/08)
Dinesh D’Souza is one of the most famous conservatives in America. He is a prolific author of works concerning politics and society. After college, he worked briefly in the public sector and was, in the late eighties, a senior domestic policy analyst in the Reagan Administration. As an author, he has always been a controversial figure due to his arriving at positions well ahead of the conservative consensus. Illiberal Education and The End of Racism made him a hated figure by the left; but it was not until 2007, with the release of The Enemy at Home: The Cultural Left and Its Responsibility for 9/11, that he found himself criticized by some members of the right. His latest book What’s So Great About Christianity, should restore his status among conservatives, however. It is a meticulous and exquisite defense of both Christianity and belief in general.

Obama Confirms Relationship with CPUSA Member
Elections piece by Cliff Kincaid (8/16/08)
With the release of a 40-page “Unfit for Publication” report attacking Jerome Corsi’s new book, The Obama Nation, it should be obvious that the media-backed presidential candidate, Barack Obama, is terrified of having his carefully concealed communist and foreign connections exposed to public view.

‘Are Teachers’ Unions Un-American?’
Edukshun piece by OffSite (8/13/08)
Thomas Jefferson once said, “To compel a man to furnish contributions of money for the propagation of opinions which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.” In 2008 his words are more than an apt description of the relationship that many of our nation’s educators have with the teachers’ unions. The fact that public school teachers in most states have no choice but to pay tribute in the form of dues to the unions is certainly tyrannical and therefore un-American.

‘Who Killed Millie Almore at the SafeSpace Shelter?’
Society piece by Carey Roberts (8/11/08)
On October 21, 2007 Milaus Almore, eight weeks pregnant, sought refuge at the SafeSpace abuse shelter. Ten days later the 26-year-old woman lay dead, stabbed with a pocket knife that left a gaping wound in the side of her neck. The weapon was wielded not by her abuser, but by another woman staying at the Stuart, Fla. facility.
