Pennsylvania Rep. Mike Doyle Comes Out Of His Shell
Progressivism piece by J. J. Jackson (8/6/11)
If you have never heard of Rep. Mike Doyle (D-PA), you would not be alone. He is the sort of guy that does not run out in front of the microphones to give his opinion on much of anything. He also rarely crafts legislation of any sort of pressing importance. For example, right now Mr. Doyle has two pieces of legislation pending in Congress. The first is the “Pet Safety and Protection Act of 2011”. I know, the economy is in shambles, President Obama is fiddling while America burns, citizens are sucking down their ninety-nine weeks of unemployment and Mr. Doyle’s focus is on “pet safety”. Do not try to understand him. You never will. And do not try to understand the thinking of the forty-four co-sponsors of this legislation either considering it is so extra-constitutional that only a nut job would even nibble at it much less bite.

Mandating the Future to Kow-Tow to Now
National Debt piece by OffSite (8/1/11)
What is being termed a “historic debt ceiling compromise deal,” complete with backslapping and self-congratulations at the highest levels, is being considered by the Senate and the House rank-and-file. And consider they will. With many provisions going against the principles of both the TEA Party contingent and the far-leftist Progressive faction, there is a lot to consider.

Unleashing Americans
Nanny State piece by Alan Caruba (7/31/11)
“I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.”—Thomas Jefferson - My father was a certified public accountant, as is my older brother. I not only lacked any arithmetical skills, I spent much of my early years ignoring the ups and downs of the economy, thinking that these matters were beyond my comprehension. What I failed to understand was that the economy was as much a creature of meddling politicians as economic theories.

Truth Versus The Politics of Washington
National Debt piece by J. J. Jackson (7/30/11)
Who has the answer to the freewheeling, high spending ways of Washington? Is it Rep. Paul Ryan? Nope. Is it Speaker John Boehner? Nope. Is it Harry Reid? Please! Don’t make me laugh! Is it President Obama? Come on, you are not even using the brains God gave a turnip if you suggest such.

Palestine - United Nations Needs Reality Check
Middle East piece by David Singer (7/23/11)
Speculation continues to mount that the United Nations (UN) will be approached in September to unilaterally recognize a Palestinian Arab State in the West Bank and Gaza for the first time in recorded history - without regard to considering the right in international law of the Jewish people to reconstitute the Jewish National Home in the same area.

Lemmings the Cliff and 2012
Election 2012 piece by Robert R. Owens (7/22/11)
We all think we are invincible. We all think we will have another day. Then one day there isn’t another day and our day is done. Empires rise and empires fall and everyone always thinks, “We’ll make it through this. We always have” then one time you don’t. No one gets to live in the world they grew up in, because the only thing that never changes is that everything changes.

Corporate Social Responsibility
GreeenIsm piece by Tom DeWeese (7/19/11)
Why Private Industry Keeps Telling Us to “Go Green” - I’ve sounded the alarm over the dangers of Sustainable Development and the agenda for top-down control through what proponents call the “Three Es,” which includes the Environment, the Economy, and Social Equity. A fourth rail to imposing Agenda 21 is called Corporate Social Responsibility. It is the direct result of the merging of the Three Es. CSR is the map to understanding why corporations are actively promoting the “green” agenda – even to the detriment of their own business.

The Radical Education Elite and Agenda 21
Agenda21/Sustainability piece by Nathan Tabor (7/18/11)
“The overarching goal of Agenda 21 is to establish international norms of personal behavior that are dictated by a group of the world’s so-called ‘enlightened elite’ who believe they know best how people ought to live therefore they should be allowed to tell the how they should live.”

Atlanta School System Scandal: Liberalism On Parade
Edukshun piece by Christopher G. Adamo (7/14/11)
In the wake of the horrendous cheating scandal that has been exposed in the Atlanta public school system, in which nearly two hundred teachers and high-level school officials doctored and falsified standardized tests in order to create the impression of teacher competence and student proficiency, the primary focus is on who to blame and how to punish them. But that does not even count as a good start. The aftershocks in Atlanta are only beginning.

CFL Bulbs Inefficient, Job Killing
Bird-Brain Flu piece by OffSite (7/10/11)
Consider Washington’s still-unfolding ban on Thomas Edison’s incandescent light bulb. If left unchallenged, Jan. 1 will herald stricter standards that Congress specifically designed in 2007 to electrocute Edison’s invention and dragoon Americans into using more energy-efficient alternatives.

Debt Ceiling Crisis: America At A Crossroads
National Debt piece by Christopher G. Adamo (7/8/11)
While it is important not to offer excuses that might enable Congressional Republicans to retreat on the debt ceiling battle, the American people need to realize just how much pressure the liberal opposition is putting on them, in hopes of forcing a capitulation. However, the primary reason Democrats are waging this all out war is not merely to ensure a continuation of the current bloat and excesses of government. Rather, they know that a Republican cave would be their best central strategy for a Democrat rebound in 2012, likely guaranteeing Barack Obama’s reelection as well as major Republican losses in both Houses.

EPA gives millions in handouts to China and Russia
EPA piece by Jim Kouri (7/3/11)
In a transaction that’s sure to anger Americans—if the news media ever bothered to tell them—the People’s Republic of China gets millions of U.S. taxpayer dollars to help with their so-called green projects. The outrageous part of the story is that the U.S. is indebted to China for almost a trillion dollars, according to a Washington, D.C. watchdog group that investigates government corruption.
